First, I need to say we are concerned for our friends in Japan who have survived the earthquakes and tsunamis last Friday; they have emailed that they, their family and employees are uninjured. Thank you Lord.
For those who are concerned about increased background radiation levels and want to measure these changes, we have inexpensive hand held radiation meters (Geiger-Mueller meters) suitable for general survey use. These are general purpose survey meters that give both a meter indication and an audible output (clicks). This meter responds to alpha, beta and gamma radiation.
